What it does
Daily reset at midnight
Every registered channel is wiped once a day at 00:00 America/New_York. Fresh slate, every day.
A warning first
Thirty seconds before a clear, DayZero posts a heads-up in each channel so nobody is caught mid-message.
Pins always survive
Anything pinned lives through the clear. Pin the rules, resources, or anything worth keeping.
Any servers, any channels
Add DayZero to as many servers as you like. Each server can register multiple venting channels, tracked independently.
Setup in three steps
Invite the bot
Add DayZero to your server with the invite link.
Grant permissions
Give its role Manage Messages and Read Message History in each channel you want cleared.
Enable Message Content
Make sure the bot's Message Content intent is enabled — it's needed to read channel history.
Commands
Owner-only — just the server owner can run these.
/activate_day_zero [channel]Registers a channel for the daily clear. Shows confirmation buttons; on Confirm it purges immediately and adds the channel to the schedule. Defaults to the current channel.
/deactivate_day_zero [channel]Removes a channel from the schedule. Defaults to the current channel.
Good to know
Long downtime is handled safely
If a channel's entire backlog is older than two weeks (only after ~2+ weeks of downtime), DayZero skips it instead of slowly deleting hundreds of old messages — and notifies the server owner to clear it manually.
If something goes wrong
The bot DMs the server owner. If DMs are closed, it posts a note in the channel instead. Enable "Direct Messages from server members" to receive DMs.
Tiny data footprint
DayZero only stores which channels are registered per server. No message contents are ever saved.
